Clearances

All volunteers are required to submit the below clearances:

• A state police criminal record check (free for volunteers)
• A Pennsylvania child abuse history clearance (free for volunteers)
• SafeSport training (free)
• One of the following:
• If a Pennsylvania resident for more than 10 years: a notarized Pennsylvania Volunteer Affidavit
• If a Pennsylvania resident for fewer than 10 years: an FBI criminal background check (use code 1KG756; costs approximately $26)

While not required, we highly recommend completing U.S. Soccer's free Introduction to Grassroots Coaching course. The U.S. Soccer Learning Center also offers several inexpensive age group-specific courses with online and in-person options that provide an excellent introduction to coaching youth soccer.
